Questions & AnswersTesting the automatic language detection in your browser??
Sam asked 8 years ago
Has anyone figured out how to test if the "leave it up the Multilingualizer to detect the language of the user" is working??

I have tried to change the language setting in Chrome, and the website didn't pick up the language I set.

Shoot me a message if you know.
Many thanks for your help,
Sam

Hi – it DOES work but to test it, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Change your browser language to the one you wish to test
  2. Clear your cookies for this site
  3. Load the page
  4. Voila

After your first visit, a cookie will be saved which overrides the browser preference. This is to allow users to choose their language using your language selectors.
