Hi Dave, I've installed the latest version of the code a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately loading time still seems to be very slow. I've tried it on various different computers (at home, on mobile, at friends' houses) and it always seems to take ages the first time. Once the homepage is up, navigating doesn't seem too bad, but just opening the homepage is very slow. I also have my site listed on another site, where it should show a screenshot of my homepage, but the box is blank. When I asked the owners of the other site why this was, they told me it was due to slow loading, and was probably due to the translation software. Is there anything that can be done about this? I am worried it might be losing me customers.
Hey Yasmin. It’s very hard to just tell what might be wrong with your website without being able to have a look at it. Dave usually requires admin access to it in order to look at code/other parts and see if the Multilingualizer is giving errors around the website.
I advise giving access here using the “Private” option for posting, which means only me, you and Dave can see it. See if you can do that and I’ll make sure Dave has a look at your issue as soon as possible.
